Adrian Lawrence

Founder & Director

Adrian Lawrence is the founder of NED Capital and a highly experienced board-level recruitment specialist with a long-standing background in senior finance and governance-focused executive search.

Adrian has worked extensively with private equity-backed businesses, owner-managed companies, and established organisations undergoing growth, change, or succession. His career has given him first-hand exposure to boardrooms at critical moments — acquisitions, exits, restructures, and periods of accelerated growth — shaping his belief that the right non-executive director can materially influence performance, culture, and risk.

At NED Capital, Adrian advises clients on board composition, governance structure, and long-term leadership strategy. He is closely involved in senior NED and chair appointments and is known for his thoughtful, challenging, and commercially grounded approach.

Adrian believes that effective non-executive directors must combine independence of thought with emotional intelligence and the confidence to challenge constructively. Joint Founder & Director

Jodie Garrington is Joint Founder of NED Capital and plays a central role in shaping the firm’s recruitment philosophy, client relationships, and delivery standards.

With a strong background in senior recruitment and executive search, Jodie brings deep expertise in candidate assessment, relationship management, and board-level appointments. She works closely with clients to understand not only the technical requirements of a role, but also the behavioural, cultural, and interpersonal dynamics that determine success in the boardroom.

As Joint Founder, Jodie is instrumental in ensuring that NED Capital’s work remains personal, rigorous, and aligned with best practice in governance. She is actively involved throughout the search process, from initial briefings and market mapping through to interviews, selection, and onboarding.
