As we continue to scale, we are seeking a commercially-minded Part-Time CFO to lead our financial strategy and ensure robust financial governance.

Role Overview:

As Part-Time CFO, you will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing financial planning, risk management, and strategic decision-making. This role is ideal for a finance leader with experience in insurance or financial services who thrives in a hands-on, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes

  • Provide strategic financial insight to support growth, profitability, and risk management

  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital allocation

  • Oversee financial compliance, audit, and regulatory reporting

  • Develop and implement internal controls and financial policies

  • Liaise with external stakeholders including banks, auditors, and investors

  • Support pricing models and financial analysis for new services or client contracts

  • Mentor and support the finance team (including outsourced partners, if applicable)

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent)

  • Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or senior finance leader in the insurance or financial services sector

  • Strong grasp of financial regulation and compliance (UK-based insurance knowledge preferred)

  • Experience in a scale-up, SME, or part-time CFO environment

  • Commercial mindset with the ability to balance strategic and operational finance

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively within a small senior team
