Board roles and how we fill them
This page lists the latest board roles we have been retained to fill: non-executive directors, chairs, committee chairs and trustees. Each card shows whether a role is still open, with a green closing date, or has closed, in red. Many of the strongest board roles are never advertised, so registering with us matters as much as applying for a listed role.
Most roles are part-time, with a commitment of one to three days a month plus committee work, and many can be done largely remotely. Fees depend on the size of the organisation and the role; our NED salary guide sets out typical ranges.

Non-executive director jobs: what to expect
A non-executive director brings independent judgement, specialist expertise and strategic oversight to a board, without running the business day to day. NED roles exist in listed companies, private and family businesses, private equity portfolios, regulated financial services firms, public bodies and charities.
Boards look for directors who add something specific: finance and audit experience for the audit committee, people and reward experience for the remuneration committee, sector knowledge, or experience of a transaction, a turnaround or regulatory change. Clear evidence of independence and time to commit matter as much as seniority. Our guide to corporate governance explains the framework boards work within.
NED Capital is part of FD Capital Group, five specialist recruitment firms with a shared network of board directors and senior executives. If you are hiring for your own board, see our non-executive director recruitment service.
